Aspire Living & Learning is currently seeking a Training Manager to partner with Intellectual/Developmental Disability provider organizations within the state of NH to train and operationalize Aspire's Direct Support Professional (DSP) Peer and manager Mentorship programs.
The Training Manager at Aspire Living & Learning plays a vital role in coordinating and facilitating Aspire Living & Learning’s training practices and programs. This person is a member of the People and Culture Team, reporting to the workplace learning department, championing workplace learning initiatives. The TM will be responsible for learning initiatives within the Aspire Mentorship program, using multi-module tools in the execution of Aspire’s training program.
Compensation: $65,000 per year
Schedule: 40 hours per week. Please note this position is grant funded, through December 31, 2025.
Location: Bedford, NH. travel to provider agency locations is required throughout NH.
Key Responsibilities:
The TM is responsible for implementation of Aspires learning, development and training platforms.
The TM will partner with workplace learning team members. Below outlines key aspects of the roles and responsibilities this position holds:
Learning and Development
- Facilitate mentorship training to provider agencies within the state of New Hampshire;
- Partner with Aspire trained provider agencies in the execution of the mentorship program, within said agency;
- Support Aspires internal mentorship and training programs by facilitating modules in house;
- Provide support and input towards learning and development opportunities to influence employee retention and support a culture of learning;
- Review existing training programs suggesting enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning and retention;
- Cultivate a positive and productive workplace atmosphere to enhance team morale and productivity.
- Participate in and complete training sessions as delegated by management to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
- Perform any additional job responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or team leaders to support the smooth operation of the organization.
Facilitation of Training Programs
- Partners with various stakeholders to design, implement and lead agency wide training and development initiatives including identifying future training needs and creating a curriculum to facilitate the training;
- Facilitates Aspire’s orientation program, All On Board, supporting new hires through all aspects of the training;
- Recruits and trains companywide trainers to support employee development needs, companywide trainings and All on Board;
- Researches and implements best practices with regards to quality training and uniform standards, supporting company trainers to these standards;
- Report Training data and trends to assess the effectiveness of training programs and identify any opportunities for
Quality and Compliance
- Works collaboratively with Quality Enhancement/Quality Assurance personnel and their supervisor; Senior Director of Service Impact;
- Supports Quality department initiatives as they relate to the effectiveness of training;
- Facilitates ongoing review of training documentation to assure training compliance, reporting recommendations and findings to designated teams;
- Develops and execute compliance training standards across Aspire to ensure policies, procedures, and protocols are being adhered to as well as funder training requirements at the state
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; Master’s degree strongly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning processes, instructional design techniques and evaluation methodologies
- Must have at least five years’ experience in a management role in a human service setting
- Adept with technology
- Capacity to operate effectively across geographic or educational locations
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including leadership, influencing and relationship building
- Excellent oral/written communications skills including group facilitation and presentation skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license and have satisfactory background checks
Working Conditions:
Overall, the working conditions for the Training Manager position would likely involve a dynamic mix of office-based tasks, collaboration with stakeholders, occasional travel, and a strong focus on utilizing technology to deliver effective training programs.
- Office-Based Work: The Training Manager will have a designated workspace within the Bedford, NH office. This space would be equipped with the necessary tools and resources for planning, organizing, and coordinating training programs.
- Travel: The Training Manager may need to travel occasionally to different locations to facilitate training sessions, conduct assessments, or attend meetings with stakeholders.
- Technology Utilization: The Training Manager should be adept with technology, as the role may involve using learning management systems, instructional design software, video conferencing tools, and other digital platforms to deliver and manage training programs effectively.
