Flexible Workplace
This role is a flex office/home role and comes with the expectation you will engage onsite a certain number of working days per month, in our brand-new office located in Dublin, Ohio, with your Bold Penguin colleagues and customers. On-site workdays will be managed at the team level to maintain an environment focused on work-life balance, innovation velocity, and the delivery of exceptional customer experiences.
In this role, you will be expected to work 20% of working days per month (4 days per month on average) in the office. This is a minimum expectation. All employees are welcome to work in the office as much as they like. Applicants must be local (within 35 miles) to Dublin, Ohio.
YOUR ROLE
The Training, Development, & Engagement Coordinator is responsible for assessing, designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge and also serves a critical role in employee engagement. This role reports to the senior people partner and collaborates with various departments to ensure training, development, & engagement initiatives align with organizational goals and improve overall performance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Training Program Development:

  • Design and develop engaging training materials, including the Bold Penguin University program, presentations, manuals, e-learning modules, and interactive sessions.
  • Tailor training programs to meet the unique needs of various teams and departments.
  • Develop and deliver an automated method of tracking employee training progress, generating reports to ensure successful learning outcomes, and partnering closely with the leadership team to ensure timely completion of training assignments.
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in training and development to recommend improvements.


Training Program Coordination:

  • Schedule, organize, and oversee training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
  • Partner with internal and external trainers or subject matter experts to deliver high-quality content.
  • Deliver training programs using multiple formats such as group discussions, lectures, simulations, and videos


Assessment and Feedback:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through surveys, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Continuously refine programs based on participant input and organizational goals.


Employee Development:

  • Collaborate with managers to identify skills gaps and recommend training solutions.
  • Create and maintain a library of resources to support ongoing employee learning and development.
  • Ownership of LinkedIn Learning Path development and deployment for Bold Penguin University.


Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure all training programs comply with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, certifications, and employee participation.


Onboarding and Orientation:

  • Create, organize, and present various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees.
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and training programs.
  • Develop custom training programs to address specific employee needs and improve job skills.
  • Create and acquire training materials, including procedure manuals, guides, course content and reporting avenues to track progress and effectiveness.


Employee Engagement:

  • Collaborate with members of the administrative team and department leaders in the development and delivery employee engagement content and activities designed to educate, celebrate, and activate the team around a variety of topics supporting our core values.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, training, and development, a related field or at least four years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • 4-6 years of experience in training and development, instructional design, or a related area.
  • Proficiency in training software and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Experience with e-learning tools and content development software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Ability to design and implement practical training and development.
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and related program software including Canva.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time, (up to 8 hours per day) at a desk working on a computer.
  • Must be able to use standard office equipment for extended periods of time, including but not limited to, a mouse, keyboard, phone and video conferencing.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to access and navigate the corporate office.

The national salary range for this role is $52,736 to $89,816. The expected starting salary range for this role at Bold Penguin is $52,736 to $74,675.
