The Training and Development Coordinator will assist in planning professional meetings and training events.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with event organizers to understand objectives and requirements, to plan scope and format of events, to establish and monitor budgets, or to review administrative procedures and event progress
  • Plan and develop programs, agendas, budgets, and services according to client requirements
  • Research published and online sources to analyze and evaluate area-specific information, such as points of interests, restaurants, accommodations, etc. Supports marketing and sales of associated events and training programs
  • Evaluate and select providers of services according to client requirements
  • Facilitate negotiation of contracts with service providers and suppliers, such as hotels, convention centers, and speakers
  • Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, satisfaction of participants, and resolution of any problems that arise
  • Inspect event facilities to ensure that they conform to client requirements
  • Confer with staff at event site to coordinate details
  • Coordinate services for events, such as accommodation and transportation for participants, facilities, catering, signage, displays, special needs requirements, printing and event security, etc.
  • Review event bills for accuracy, and approves payment
  • Maintain records of events, including financial details
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin
