The Training Intern will be a high energy individual committed to improving the knowledge of all employees. As a Training Intern, you will be tasked with working with various teams to develop documentation.
Strong organizational skills required to be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Create Training Documentation across various platforms
- Document best practices for specific aspects of the Organization as well as the Organization as a whole
- Communicate with Management teams as to training needed, timeframe, and the most effective methods for communicating message
- Communicate with end users post-training to effectiveness of training and improvements needed
- Work with technical team to broadcast training materials to end users
- Assess knowledge of students post training
- Provide status, progress and results reporting to Training Director
- Adhere to all published organizational, safety policies and procedures as described in the JAS Forwarding employee handbook

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
Working toward college degree in Marketing, Communications, Business is preferred. Freight forwarding experience beneficial.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to verbally communicate information in a clear and concise manner with the ability to quickly build credibility, influence and make recommendations to all levels.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Other Skills:
High energy level. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite. Able to manage outcomes to timeline. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to deal with a wide customer set, whose skill bases and objectives may differ. Strong Organizational skills – Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize, and execute on assigned deliverables.
Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment. Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently. Facilitation skills - emphasis on coordinating relationships with internal functions/groups; ability to solve issues by coordinating across cross-functional areas. Sound judgment and the ability to work under time pressures.
Able to work with in a matrix reporting environment, build and maintain strong relationships with peers, stakeholders and management who will largely be based remotely. Solution driven with the willingness and ability to implement innovative ideas to improve processes and procedures. Able to work in a culturally diverse and changing environment.
