Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Leadership:

  • Develop and implement traffic mobility strategies aligned with urban development goals and sustainability standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring quality and timely delivery of projects.
  • Identify innovative mobility solutions, including Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), multimodal transport integration, and active mobility enhancements.

2. Project Management:

  • Oversee traffic and mobility components of urban planning and infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless coordination between stakeholders and project teams.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.

3. Technical Expertise:

  • Perform advanced traffic analysis and modeling using industry-standard tools (e.g., VISSIM, SYNCHRO, SIDRA, AIMSUN).
  • Develop traffic impact studies, feasibility assessments, and mobility optimization plans.
  • Assess and recommend solutions for traffic flow improvements, road safety enhancements, and congestion management.

4. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with government authorities, local municipalities, and private developers to align traffic and mobility solutions with regulatory requirements and community needs.
  • Present project findings, strategies, and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and consensus-building.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in discussions with clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.

5. Sustainability and Innovation:

  • Promote sustainable and resilient mobility solutions, such as public transport prioritization, electric vehicle integration, and non-motorized transport options.
  • Leverage emerging technologies and data analytics to optimize traffic systems and mobility planning.

Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering or Urban Mobility is highly preferred.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, or urban mobility management.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex traffic and mobility projects in urban environments, preferably in the Middle East.
  • Experience with UAE's regulatory framework and standards is a strong advantage.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in traffic analysis and simulation tools (e.g., VISSIM, SYNCHRO, SIDRA, AIMSUN).
  • Strong understanding of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and emerging mobility technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets and derive actionable insights.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
