Job Summary:
Our newest Leidos prime program is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to support our team in Columbia, MD. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience supporting all export and import compliance activities within our newly awarded program.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide direction, input, and guidance to programs and employees related to export and import compliance.
- Assist in drafting export license applications, and process Export Administration Regulations (EAR) exception requests.
- Manage records/documentation related to export authorizations. Conduct export training for internal stakeholders.
- Assist in drafting State Department export licenses, technical assistance agreements, and process International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) exemption requests, Memorandum of Agreement/Understanding.
- Validate addresses for export agreements.
- Assist in managing export and import authorization records in the Leidos’ records system.
- Review International Business Review Board (IBRB) routings for export / import compliance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and Eight (8) or more years related experience managing trade compliance and ITAR for a program of similar scope. An additional 4 years of related experience may be substituted for a Bachelors Degree.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in conducting International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- At least three (3) years of direct experience supporting the intelligence community.
- Strong attention to detail is needed to ensure accuracy of tasks.
- Understanding of ITAR implications, changes, and potential risks.
- Clearance Required: Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Desired Qualifications:
- US Export Compliance Certification for US Practitioners.
