Trade & Compliance Manager

The Compliance Manager oversees the implementation and adherence to an organization's compliance policies and procedures, working under the direction of managers or directors ensuring that day-to-day operations meet regulatory and policy requirements.

General Responsibilities
• Manages the work of their direct reports, ensuring they perform their duties effectively.
• Coordinates activities related to compliance audits, assessments, and monitoring.
• Ensures tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Implements and enforces compliance policies and procedures across the organization.
• Provides guidance and support to employees on compliance-related issues.
• Ensures that all departments understand and follow compliance protocols.
• Organizes compliance training programs for employees.
• Ensures compliance staff and other employees are up-to-date with regulatory changes and internal policies.
• Conducts regular training sessions and refreshers.

Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
• Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
