About the job
As an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting various aspects of business operations, including import and export compliance, project management, and data analytics. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with different departments to understand and document business processes and workflows. You will assist the trade compliance team in ensuring adherence to import and export regulations, including documentation, record-keeping, and compliance audits.
You will also work with project managers on planning, scheduling, and tracking progress for various projects, using Alfa Laval project management tools and methodologies. Additionally, you will collect, analyze, and interpret data to support business decisions, creating reports and dashboards to visualize data trends and insights. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop skills in a real-world setting and contribute to the overall success and growth of our organization. Currently, this is a Hybrid opportunity located in Indianapolis, IN
As a part of the team, you will:

Assist in understanding and documenting business processes and workflows, participating in cross-functional meetings to gain insights into different departments.

Support the trade compliance team in ensuring adherence to import and export regulations, helping with documentation, record-keeping, and compliance audits. Assist with export screening and other export controls, and learn about special trade programs, supply chain fundamentals, and import/export regulations.

Collaborate with project managers on various projects, assisting in project planning, scheduling, and tracking progress. Learn to use Alfa Laval project management tools and methodologies.

Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support business decisions, using data to provide informed business recommendations. Create reports and dashboards to visualize data trends and insights, working with data analytics software and tools.

What you know:
You are currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, International Business, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related field, and:

Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Have a basic understanding of data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
