Job Description
This role offers a range of $53,000–$65,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and skills, as well as geographic considerations.
Location: Can be based in West Chicago, IL; Homewood, IL; Appleton, WI; Lebanon, OH; Edwardsville, KS; Santa Fe Springs, CA; Dunkirk, NY; Charlotte, NC!
The Corporate TPM Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the TPM implementation through the activities of the TPM Support team. This is an entry level position with opportunities for growth long into the future. Reporting to the TPM Manager, the TPM Support Specialist assists members of the TPM Support team in the deployment of the directives of the Total Productive Maintenance process at all INX locations under the general direction of the Director of Operational Excellence. This individual may prepare communications, assist in the deployment of information and activities by the TPM Support team, and monitor advances of the TPM efforts of the branches.
As a TPM Support Specialist you will be responsible to:
- Effectively communicate to employees the need for their involvement & participation, commitment to and understanding of the improvement process. Report any inadequacies immediately to manager.
- Coordinate information for the preparation and distribution of a company TPM Monthly Newsletter.
- Assist in developing database and measurement systems for TPM deployment and results of improvements.
- Help management and teams to communicate the improvements from TPM to all other branches
- Attend and help organize training sessions.
- Train or assist in training coordinators and employees, emphasizing the importance of key concepts and Pillars of TPM such as:
- Focused Improvement
- Autonomous Maintenance
- Planned Maintenance
- Education and Training
- Early Equipment Management
- Early Product Management
- Quality Maintenance
- Administrative and Support Department Activities
- Safety and Environmental Management
- Measurement systems.
- Work-groups or teams having immediate access to measurement systems.
- Documented standard processes.
- Reduction of waste or losses
- Identification and elimination of activities that do not add value to our products or services.
- Continuously improving systems to exceed requirements
- Conduct periodic system Audits of branches.
- Visit sites as needed to troubleshoot problems when they occur.
- Travel 25% or more may be required based on need or opportunity.
- Work to assure that TPM activities and efforts in all divisions assure consistent growth and improvements.
Qualifications
To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:
- Have High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-3 months related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of both) in 5S, TPM, Continuous improvement or similar discipline.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to present training effectively
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office suite - PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc...
- Ability to grow into training, needs assessment, prepare training materials and maintain training records and rosters
- Have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, flow diagrams, operating and maintenance instructions
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:
- Certificate in Six Sigma Green Belt, TPM training as specified by management.
