The primary responsibility of the Team Lead, Operations Analytics is to oversee the daily activities and assignments of an analytics team including Sr. Business Analysts, Data Analysts, Business Analysts, Operations Analysts, etc. The Team Lead will manage analysis requests and help in the evaluation of refining the report generation process. Additionally, he/she is responsible to collaborate with business partners on various strategies that are critical to improving identified processes and to evaluate, measure, monitor, design and control business processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day supervisory leadership to Analytics Team
  • Manage the teams’ progress on various report requests, projects, and testing to ensure quality and deadlines are met
  • Provide continuous coaching and training to analysts in all aspects of reporting analytics, insights, metrics & best practices
  • Enforce change management of batch uploads to minimize impact and improve data quality
  • Develop strategies to implement and execute business process excellence and process improvement initiatives
  • Oversee root cause analysis and gather processes/programs to establish costs and benefits of process effectiveness and efficiency
  • Collaborate with various functional areas to achieve optimal results in process redesign and implementation of new methodologies
  • Identify and maintain proper version control for all report codes
  • Analyze processes for efficiency and effectiveness; provides solutions for minimizing complexity and waste, based on thorough analysis
  • Actively recruits, retains and develops talent and holds employees accountable for results. Leads change, manages conflict and fosters collaboration
  • Respond to any regulatory or compliance requests for information or audits in a timely and accurate manner
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University or equivalent work experience
  • Working experience leading a group, team, project or as a supervisor/manager
  • Experience training, mentoring and managing a team of Business Analysts
  • Work experience demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with writing SQL queries for analyzing data and establishing business rules and requirements
  • Familiarity with relational database structures, theories, principles and practices
  • Familiarity with data models and/or data modelling
  • Work experience interpreting data through completion of complex reports using tools such as Excel, Access, Business Object, SAS, and other reporting platforms
  • Experience creating presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint and conducting presentations to senior leaders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within the Healthcare industry.
  • 2 years demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Data Analysis experience
  • Experience in gathering requirements, designing, testing and implementing using Software Development Life Cycle
  • Project management skills for planning, coordination and communication

Hiring Range*:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $81,100 - $117,470

  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $71,600 - $106,505

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
