Tire Design Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking two highly skilled and innovative Tire Design Engineers to join our European branch, one for TBR and one for PCR tire development. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing tires that meet the performance, safety, and regulatory standards of the European market. This role requires a deep understanding of tire technology, materials science, and vehicle dynamics, along with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and innovation

Key Responsibilities:

l Design and Development

Conceptualize and design new tire models tailored for the European market, focusing on performance, durability, safety, and environmental impact.

Utilize CAD software to create detailed tire designs and specifications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet market requirements and company objectives.

l Testing and Validation:

Develop and implement testing protocols to evaluate tire performance under various conditions.

Analyze test data and make necessary adjustments to designs to optimize performance.

Ensure compliance with European safety and regulatory standards.

l Materials and Manufacturing:

Research and select appropriate materials to achieve desired tire properties.

Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs can be efficiently produced at high quality.

Address any manufacturing challenges and make design modifications as needed.

l Market Analysis and Innovation:

Stay updated on market trends, competitor products, and technological advancements in the tire industry.

Propose innovative solutions to improve tire performance and customer satisfaction.

Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and training sessions.

Qualifications:

l Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

l Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in tire design and development, preferably in tier 1 tire companies.

Proven track record of successful tire projects from concept to production.

l Skills and Competencies:

Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.

Strong understanding of tire construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Knowledge of European automotive regulations and standards.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong project management and organizational abilities.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Fluent in spoken and written English.
