Vanguard has an exciting new opportunity for a Third Party Risk Analyst for our Global Risk and Security team (GR&S). As an analyst you will support risk evaluation of third party vendors based on Vanguard's operational and strategic risk methodologies for monitoring dynamic internal and complex external risk environments. You'll utilize a data centric approach, drive automation capabilities, leverage external GenAI/AI vendors and mitigate risk using a consultative approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports risk guidance, oversight, and assurance services to divisional partners in alignment with the Vanguard's operational and strategic risk framework.
  • Assists the business in the development, implementation, and management of long-term existing and emerging risk mitigation strategies in accordance with department goals and objectives, standard risk management policies and procedures, and the overall risk strategy.
  • Learns and supports utilization of a data centric approach for analyzing information from internal and external sources of structured and unstructured data, controls, and risks.  
  • Understand and supports application of the risk management framework and methodology for global divisional stakeholders. Ensures/highlights the divisional risk tools align with global risk policies and allow for efficient risk monitoring, identification, and reporting.
  • Develops communication presentations to support divisional risk leaders and senior risk managers to fully operate in alignment with risk methodologies and framework. Demonstrates thought leadership and expertise for preparing presentations.
  • Provides consultation and assists in facilitating divisional projects related to the enterprise risk framework.
  • Develops effective working relationships across Enterprise Risk Management and divisional boundaries to ensure focused and efficient enterprise support.
  • Develops and maintains broad knowledge and awareness of the investment industry, risk management practices, and regulatory and/or policy changes. Supports risk management discussions.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Understanding of SOC processes is an added advantage

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years related work experience, with two years experience in risk management.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Professional Certification (CPA, CIA, CISI, MBA) preferred.
