Do you want to be a part of a dynamic, innovative company at the forefront of technology and take on a leadership role to drive impactful improvements in testing strategies and processes?
If you are an experienced test professional with a strong technical background and a passion for quality, we would love to hear from you.
At Keylane, we are looking for an experienced and strategic Application Test Manager to drive the delivery of high-quality software through automated test processes. As part of our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), you will ensure that quality criteria are aligned with business needs and implemented through KPI-based quality gates.
You will play a critical role in supporting Release Management by overseeing regression tests to guarantee quality in Plexus releases for customers.
Key about the Role
As the Application Test Manager, you will be responsible for defining and managing testing strategies, ensuring the effective application of test techniques within the Java ecosystem, and improving both internal and external test frameworks and tools. You will collaborate closely with our Infrastructure teams to set up and optimize pipelines, quality gates, telemetry, and special test environments such as performance testing.
Your leadership will also extend to managing and executing all types of testing across Plexus Development (PD), including regression, performance, security, quality, and UX testing. You will guide clusters on the design and implementation of automated tests, drive improvements in testing processes, and lead the Test Guild, all while aligning with the company's strategic goals for high-quality, efficient software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the test strategy to meet evolving business needs.
- Define and implement automated quality gates based on KPIs.
- Participate in the quality governance group, approving product releases from PD.
- Drive the refinement and improvement of internal and external test frameworks and tooling.
- Support and guide clusters in using internal and external test frameworks and tooling.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all test-related matters within PD.
- Facilitate external communication regarding quality standards and testing processes.
- Lead the identification and implementation of new test areas, including performance and security testing.
- Drive technical test leadership to overcome challenges in automating tests.
- Ensure alignment of best testing practices within the Test Guild and across clusters.
- Take a risk-based approach to quality assurance, balancing speed and risk.
- Collaborate with Release Management to ensure smooth and efficient releases to customers.
Success Criteria
- Increased testing efficiency and faster delivery through KPI-driven automated gates.
- Higher and demonstrable software quality, ensuring stability in deliveries to customers.
- A strong, collaborative test community.
- Scalable testing solutions that reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Key about You
We believe you have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with relevant test certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or similar.
Additionally, you should have:
- Experience in test framework development, particularly within the Java ecosystem.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to implement practical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
- A structured and analytical problem-solving approach.
- Strong collaboration skills to engage with developers, product owners, testers, and management.
- Proven experience in managing and optimizing quality for large-scale applications.
Key about Your Team
You’ll be part of a cross-functional and highly professional team, distributed across Denmark, the Netherlands, and India. The team consists of business analysts, developers, and testers, working together to deliver high-quality software.
We embrace an agile mindset, and the team is involved in every step of the development process—from planning to production-ready delivery.
