You will join a team developing state-of-the-art general-purpose robots designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. It is designed to work alongside humans, mobilize to human spaces, and manipulate the world around it.


We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer with a demonstrated proficiency in testing electro-mechanical systems across various stages of the product life cycle. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our engineering team to develop and execute system test campaigns, focusing on verifying the performance of our Apollo platform. The ideal candidate will contribute to the refinement and enhancement of product designs towards commercial deployment, while fostering a culture of excellence within the testing process.

Key Responsibilities:

Testing Expertise:

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop verification test plans spanning the product life cycle.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing from component-level through assembly to final-level testing, utilizing diverse methodologies.
  • Design and implement test fixtures and equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing procedures.
  • Analyze test data to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to manufacturing challenges.

Process Improvement:

  • Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement based on data analysis.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and propose corrective actions to enhance product maturity, manufacturing efficiency, and quality.

New Product Introduction:

  • Develop work instructions and test procedures for new products to facilitate seamless integration into the manufacturing process.

Technical Expertise:

  • Demonstrate familiarity with pneumatics, servo motors, motion controllers, PLC, and PC-based control systems.
  • Proficiency in Python is highly desirable.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure machine qualification through calibration, correlation, capability, repeatability, and reproducibility.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure the reliability of test results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant experience.
  • 5+ Years of Test Engineering experience related to complex electro-mechanical products
  • Proven experience in product/system level testing, with a focus on component-level through assembly & post-build.
  • Strong understanding of robotics principles, pneumatics, servo motors, motion controllers, PLC, and PC-based control systems.
  • Familiarity with optics principles and their application in positioning and alignment machines.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis, PFMEA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
