Test Engineer for Multimedia & Infotainment products (Manual/Automation)

Your role:

Your official position is the Software Systems Test Engineer for advanced Infotainment products, delivered to many OEMs worldwide. These are high tech multi-domain multimedia systems based on Linux and Android embedded solutions, developed using agile SW development methods. In practice, you will be responsible for testing of Infotainment systems that are designed, developed and tested at Aptiv. Modern infotainment systems are high complexity SW products, that require development of thousands of tests and scripts, together with appropriate tools. Therefore, in parallel to testing of final product you will have an opportunity to develop your programming skills. You will have a chance to design and implement new solutions, extending our automated test environment.

• Execution of manual and automated test cases

• Performing functional tests in dedicated test vehicles

• Creation of test cases based on analysis of Customer requirements

• Reporting of testing results and bugs detected  

• Collaboration with SW developers to ensure high quality of SW products

• Implementing automated tests and enhancing current test environment

• Development of automation tools, new solutions and concepts

• Creation and modernization of existing test benches for the needs of the tested area

• Testing communication between multiple modules and components inside the car

• Participation in business trips and delegations directly to the customer's location

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology or science department (or last year of education)   

• Knowledge of one of the computer programming / scripting languages: Python, C/C++, TCL, CAPL at least at the intermediate level

• Willing to learn new automotive technologies and future solutions

• Basics of electronics and measurements tools

• Good command of English

• Driving license (category B)

• Knowledge of the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) protocol and LVDS standard

An additional advantage will be:

• Interesting diploma thesis, own projects in the field of electronics or programming

• Knowledge of any automotive industry data interfaces: CAN, Ethernet, MOST, OBD diagnostics

• Knowledge of requirements management tools (Siemens Polarion / IBM Rational DOORs)

• ISTQB certifications related to software testing area  

• Driving license (category C or C+E)

• Knowledge and experience in using the Vector CANoe tool
