Job Description

ABOUT ROLE: 

The purpose of this strategic sales role is to grow sales of Performance Tapes in line with business strategies to achieve or exceed the annual operating plan for the area of Northern Germany. Our markets: Automotive, Building and Construction, Large Domestic Appliances, Electronics, and Optical.

Main responsibilities:

  • Exploring the market: cold calling, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, trade fair visits, trade associations visits
  • Technical and commercial visits: fast understanding of the problem to be solved with a unique solution.
  • Relationship building with the converters: build a plan for the future 
  • Profound user of SFDC (Salesforce.com)
  • Grow sales in line with strategy (focus on high-value business)
  • Understand the market and competitors
  • Identify, qualify and follow-up of leads for projects
  • Provide accurate customer product forecasts
  • Develop relationships with existing customers and look for business growth opportunities
  • Regularly visit your customers / prospects (traveling 50-60%)
  • Close collaboration with marketing team

Measures of Success/ KPI's:

  • Sales vs. Plan on a monthly and annual basis
  • Project pipeline and conversion 
  • Build up product and application knowledge

Qualifications


Requirements and Prior Experience: 

  • Engineering or Commercial degree
  • Technical Sales Experience preferred
  • Ability to recognize customer needs and market added value as a product solution
  • 3-5 years prior experience in a similar role
  • Languages: Fluent in German (C1) is mandatory and English 
  • Experience in B2B environment with focus on direct sales channel
  • Affinity with technical products and experience in self-adhesive, tapes or adjacent industries is a preference
  • Genuine interest in gaining technical knowledge of products
  • Team player, out of the box thinker, creative approach to problem solving
  • Interest in new technologies that can boost sales (CRM tools, Salesforce, Linkedin Sales Navigator)
  • Ability to work flexible working hours
