The Account Representative supports the day-to-day operations and growth within the assigned division’s sales channel. This role provides distributors with essential tools, information, and resources to help drive product sales and address channel needs. Working closely with channel partners, the Account Representative helps navigate business challenges and promotes the division’s products as a preferred choice across various applications. Responsibilities include coordinating orders, addressing technical questions, and ensuring smooth product availability. Additionally, the Account Representative builds strong, trust-based relationships with channel partners, helping align daily operations with broader sales objectives. Through collaboration with the Account Manager, the Account Representative contributes to overall market growth and customer satisfaction. 

 

What You Will Do at Graco 

Sales Channel Management 

  • Collaborate with Account Managers to establish product addendums, recommend updates to distributors, and align channel strategies. 

  • Conduct regular business reviews with channel principals to discuss performance, pipeline, and accountability. 

  • Develop and maintain customer records, contacts, pricing structures, and opportunities in CRM systems such as Salesforce. 

  • Identify sales opportunities through data analysis, sharing insights with the team, and tracking sales activities. 

 

Customer Engagement 

  • Maintain and grow sales within assigned accounts and territories by conducting outbound and cold calls for sales initiatives and surveys. 

  • Perform ongoing account activities, including inventory checks, order assistance, and product demonstrations for store personnel and external sales reps. 

  • Participate in distributor and end-user sales events, continuously showcasing products and assisting with customer needs. 

  • Foster long-term relationships with customers by providing exceptional service and support, ensuring they view Graco as a trusted partner. 

 

Market Development 

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify sales growth obstacles, suggesting solutions to management. 

  • Analyze the effectiveness of existing programs and make recommendations for enhancements based on market feedback and performance data. 

  • Develop and execute time and territory plans to support the overall sales strategy as outlined by leadership. 

  • Establish and maintain a network of service centers within the territory to enhance end-user support and engagement. 

 

Product Support and Training 

  • Act as the primary liaison between customers and Graco to optimize new product launches and drive sales for both new and existing products. 

  • Implement training sessions for sales staff and channel partners to equip them with the necessary knowledge and tools for effectively promoting new products. 

  • Share updates on new products, promotions, and program details. 

  • Support marketing and sales initiatives by providing demonstrations that highlight product applications and benefits. 

  • Manage demo equipment and adhere to budget guidelines for expenses. 

 

What You Will Bring to Graco  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, marketing, a technical field, or equivalent experience. 

  • Exposure to sales experience with technical aptitude in electrical or mechanical fields. 

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to facilitate strategic initiatives. 

  • Proven abilities in planning, prioritizing, problem-solving, and decision-making. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. 

  • Strong training and coaching abilities.  

  • Basic computer competency. Familiar with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, or equivalent. 

  • Willingness to travel as required to meet customer and business needs. 

  • Valid driver’s license. 

 

Accelerators 

  • Global industrial manufacturing experience and knowledge. 

  • MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
