About the team:
Our Finance team isn’t your average group of number crunchers. As part of a fast-growing brand, this team is in the unique position to approach a traditional department in an exciting new way. From the way we create our shoes to how we market them, Rothy’s is paving its own path. And that means the Finance team gets in on the fun innovations, too.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in a temporary role where you will support the key business functions to drive profitable growth. You will play a critical role in developing the financial forecasting for all channels, developing analytical insights, and evaluating strategic business decisions. In this temp role you will be managing forecasting models, along with implementing and revising processes to support our overall planning activities. This position will report to our Sr. Director of Finance.
What You’ll Do:

Provide support in all things Finance - long range and short-term financial planning, budget vs. actual analysis, and various strategic analyses to support our business decisions

Generate financial reports by collecting, formatting, and analyzing relevant information and data sets

Prepare and update key documents and materials for presentation to investors and the Board of Directors

Report on key trends and how it will affect the financial health of the organization

Gather and report on data that will directly affect key financial decision making as it relates to the larger organizational goals of Rothy’s

Monitor relevant KPIs/trends/events impacting the financial results, and incorporate this information into forecasts and analyses

Partner in monthly accounting activities, and prepare monthly budget vs. actual reports and variance analysis

Continuous improvement on our planning and analysis processes, tools, and reporting
Who You Are:

Experienced FP&A professional with a strong foundation (5-8 years) of financial modeling, planning, forecasting, and analyzing financial and operational data

Familiarity with GAAP accounting

Skilled in driving cross-functional processes and cultivating strong relationships with multiple business partners

Demonstrated ability to provide direct and constructive feedback, elevating team and individual performance through consistent coaching and clear expectations

Leads by example, coaches team members by sharing knowledge and experiences and acts as a role model

Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
-
Expertise in modeling within Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint presentations

Preferred Retail, D2C experience.Experience with consumer/branded companies and e-commerce/digital marketing business models is a plus
-
Investment banking and/or MBA a plus
-
Experience in a start-up environment a plus
-
A great team player with a can-do attitude
