Amentum is seeking a Telecommunications Specialist to support INSCOM GISA Pacific for garrison and deployed Intelligence Communications networks and systems as part of their Deployed Operations team. Position is headquartered in Ft. Shafter, Honolulu, HI, but provides substantial deployed support to exercises, operations and contingencies throughout the USINDOPACOM Area of Responsibility.
Intelligence Communications Systems include C4ISR communications assets such as the GISA Network Termination Suites (local Cisco VmWare stack), AirBus Ranger Satellite Terminals and other US Army assets to include TROJAN Satellite Communications and DIA VST Network (DIVN).

- Work independently or with a team to troubleshoot issues, successfully achieve objectives and meet customer requirements.
- Have experience and knowledge in VSAT communications, network architecture and security, communications security (COMSEC), DoD Information Assurance/Cyber security compliance.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Support customers enterprise architecture requirements discussions and competently provide recommendations for architecture and systems security from the garrison and deployable perspectives
- Apply knowledge of Information Assurance, Cyber Security and Information Management to create and deliver documentation for; systems and network Operating Procedures, cyber security compliance submissions, authorities to operate submissions, accountability reports, and equipment health/maintenance reporting requirements
- Provide technical expertise in new technology research and individual insight in system design and development efforts to upgrade and modernize capabilities and equipment for future ISR communications concepts
- Deliver technical analysis, performance requirements, reviews, integration support and consultation on complex problems and capability limitations to customer
- Create reports and documentation to capture the lessons learned and recommendations from each deployment of the system.
- Perform travel up to 50% of the time in support of customer approved planning to deploy networks and communications systems providing capabilities to military exercises in foreign and austere locations
MINIMUN REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS Degree (or equivalent work experience)
- At least 5 years of satellite communications and/or network administration experience
- Must have a minimum IT certification of Security+ and one Operating System certification to maintain DoD 8570.01 IAT lvl2 required by customer
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to provide reporting, training, operational status to the customer
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Windows desktop Operating Systems
- Applicable knowledge of CISCO networking equipment and language administration
- Proven ability to resolve problems efficiently and effectively, recognizing customer competence levels, and able to approach each level appropriately
- Must have an Active Top-Secret US Government Clearance with SCI eligibility. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
- Position involves work typical of office environment including long periods of sitting with use of computer terminal and sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines
- Maneuver minimal hazards relating to electricity and heavy equipment cases, no more than an individual lift of 40 pounds
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 2 years of experience working in the USINDOPACOM AOR
- CCNA or additional IT security certifications
- Working knowledge of Army enterprise computer systems and integrated software application programs is a plus
The salary range for this position is $85K to $100K. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
