As a Technology Support III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Act as LOB SRE maintain strong focus on continuous service improvement.
- Liaise with other teams within the technology organization to drive enhancements towards Automations to add Value addition in AWS environment & JPMC internal implementation Framework
- Identify areas of Cost Optimization within AWS framework
- Strong focus on continuous service improvement. Analyze issue pattern and identify potential areas for efficiency improvement
- Manage stakeholder communication in the situation of technology incidents and provide clear and concise message to keep the business informed about the progress and the root cause
- Document the support process and FAQs, and work with team to mitigate any knowledge gap identified
- Involve in roles a high degree of interaction with SRE Technology teams in addition to building close relationships with other teams within technology & business user community
- Be a good team player and open mindset to diversity and inclusive culture
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering with 3+ years of applied experience.
- 5+ years in a Data Engineer role with a graduate degree in a quantitative field.
- 3+ years of programming experience in Python/Scala, Spark.
- Hands-on experience with AWS migration and implementation.
- Proficient with DevOps CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins.
- Familiarity with critical AWS services: EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, RedShift, etc.
- Experience with SQL, Snowflake, and NoSQL databases (Postgres, Cassandra).
- 3+ years of experience with AWS Console, Microservices, IAM, and EC2.
- Expertise in setting up AWS services like S3 buckets and Lambda.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; technical knowledge of Unix/Linux.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to understand business processes and participate in design, code, and test inspections.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Business domain knowledge on Risk Management, Finance or Compliance would be an advantage
- Knowledge and experience on big data architecture (Hadoop stack) would be a plus
- Databricks Hands on in data Engineering or SRE Role
- Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc. (Nice to have)
