As a Tech Risk & Controls Senior Associate in Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB), you will contribute to the successful management of technology-aligned aspects of Governance, Risk, and Compliance in line with the firm's standards. Leverage your broad knowledge in risk management principles and practices to assess and monitor risks and implement effective controls. Your role in risk identification, control evaluation, and security governance is crucial in advising on complex situations and enhancing the firm's risk posture. Through collaboration and analytical skills, you will contribute to the overall success of the Technology Risk & Services team and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and industry standards.
Job responsibilities
- Assess and monitor technology risks, ensuring compliance with firm standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Tracking and reporting of Key Risk Indicators
- Support implementation of effective controls in collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes, and explore opportunities for improvements by implementing AI or automations
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- College degree in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience
- 5 to 7 years of experience in IT, Disaster Recovery, IT Risk Management
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, and management of different data sources to produce executive level reporting, metrics, and commentary
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with different stakeholders
- Experience in overseeing technology risk and controls and providing support to audit and regulatory activities would be highly advantageous
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, specially Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Basic knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Python knowledge would be highly advantageous
