Job Description

Position Overview

Technology Engineer, OT infrastructure is to design, implement, manage, and maintain company’s enterprise grade network infrastructure. The Technology Engineer must be well versed in advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol devices, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems. The job requires extensive hands-on experience and design with enterprise class networks coupled with some managerial and project management skills. Invenergy network consists of Palo Alto, and Cisco networking devices. WAN connectivity via IPSec, MPLS and/or Azure Infrastructure.

Experience in using monitoring and automation tools to ensure SLA (Service Level Agreements) are met in delivering network connectivity for an enterprise network. Able to utilize sound basic network principles in design connectivity for low bandwidth sites. Comfortable with working with a change management board, and peers to deliver solutions to meet the enterprise’s network needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage network infrastructure consists of Palo Alto, and Cisco devices.
  • Help improve LAN\WAN, firewall security, and data center architecture for maximum performance, capacity, and scalability.
  • Implement appropriate network management and monitoring systems achieving zero downtime. 
  • Install and configure firewalls, switches, and other networking devices.
  • Automate repetitive networking tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Implement network security measures per business requirements.
  • Conducting network performance and integrity tests; generating reports.
  • Help developing and implementing network disaster recovery plans.
  • Timely resolve escalated network related support issues
  • Develop and maintain complete technical documentation.
  • Interact with business partners providing network engineering support.
  • Ability to execute multiple projects, meeting hard deadlines.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • At least 7 years of networking experience in an enterprise networking environment
  • Advanced working knowledge of switches
  • Advanced working knowledge of firewalls
  • Considerable experience implementing WAN solutions
  • Experience with communication and routing protocols
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools
  • Hands-on experience with cloud solutions
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Palo Alto OR Cisco certification OR classes
  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst or Nexus switches
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls 
  • Experience implenting WAN solutions such as DIA, MPLS, SD-WAN, etc.
  • Experience with communication and routing protocals such as BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF
  • Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools such as PRTG and SolarWinds
  • Experience with cloud solutions such as Azure or AWS

Base Pay

135,000.00 - 150,000.00 USD Annual

Bonus: 25% - 40%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.

 

In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance. Your recruiter can share more about bonus eligibility for this position during the hiring process.
