Position Title: Technical Writer/Editor
Location: Washington, D.C. (currently hybrid)
Hours: 9am – 5pm
Work Schedule: “4x10” schedules available
Position Summary
Cybervance is a rapidly growing information security and information technology company in Washington, D.C. We are looking to hire a Technical Writer/Editor to be placed on a long-term contract in Washington, D.C. This position is a full-time/permanent position supporting a U.S. Government civilian agency. The position is available immediately upon finding a qualified candidate with the appropriate background clearance.
Job Requirements
- Author and edit technical documents including a variety of reports.
- Accurately represent complex technical topics in easily understandable written descriptions appropriate for the intended audience.
- · Identify and correct for errors and gaps in reports and other deliverables.
- · Maintain consistent attention to detail to produce high-quality products.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (written and oral in English).
- Ability to work both individually and in a collaborative team.
- 10 years of relevant work experience.
- US citizen qualified for Public Trust.
Position Responsibilities
Serves as a technical writer/editor, creating, reviewing, and refining technical documentation, reports, and project materials. Ensures clarity, accuracy, and consistency in documentation, translating complex technical concepts into user-friendly content. Develops and maintains program-related manuals, guidelines, and reports to support project objectives and stakeholder communication. Oversee reporting/documentation integration, making necessary adjustments to meet scope and timeline requirements. Implements communications best practices, processes, and methodologies to ensure reports are completed on schedule, and meet quality standards and customer expectations. Tracks key project milestones, reallocates resources as needed, and provides regular updates. Participate in client meetings and deliver presentations to stakeholders.
