The documentation team sits within the Product Team and is responsible for RunPod’s product documentation, API and SDK documentation, and partner documentation. We’re a mostly remote team made up of Product Managers, UX Designers, UX Writers, AL/ML Researchers, DevRel/DX Engineers, and Content Creators who are passionate about revolutionizing AI/ML development.

We’re looking for a Technical Writer who is passionate about educating researchers and developers in the AI/ML space. You’ll help create a robust library of product documentation, API documentation, code samples, and reference guides to ensure that customers and partners have high-quality documentation that empowers them to achieve their goals with us. Our goal is to ensure that users can onboard and utilize RunPod efficiently, and when we fall short, you’ll help us make it right. You’ll create ways to engage with RunPod’s community and customers to source and action feedback about our documentation, and have a critical role in shaping our knowledge-sharing ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive documentation for various users, including developers, end-users, partners, and internal staff.
  • Collaborate closely with our product, engineering, and support teams to ensure our documentation is accurate, consistent, and aligned with RunPod's brand voice.
  • Engage proactively with our community to gather feedback and make iterative improvements to our documentation resources.
  • Embrace the role of RunPod's narrative voice, creating user goal-oriented documentation, guides, and tutorials that resonate with our audience and embody the innovative spirit of our products.

Requirements:

  • To be successful in this role, you’ll need to understand and take ownership of user pain points as if they were your own.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing and a portfolio that showcases your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and engagingly.
  • Comfort collaborating with development teams directly in the product codebase using version control systems like Git.
  • Willingness to take on a mix of hands-on writing and strategy work.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for perfection
  • Excitement about the challenges of the AI/ML space and learning new technologies.

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of experience at an AI/ML, dev tool, or infrastructure company.
  • 1+ year of experience writing code samples or developer docs against OpenAPI specs
  • Experience creating documentation and pages in Docusaurus or a similar tool in a docs as code workflow.

What You’ll Receive:

  • The competitive base pay for this position ranges from $100,000 - $145,000 depending on location. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills and experience
