Description. Chimera Enterprises International is seeking a Technical Writer to support the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO- CBRND) JPEO-CBRND Medical Office. The JPEO-CBRND manages our nation’s investments in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense equipment, and medical countermeasures. battlespace worldwide. This position requires a Secret clearance.
Job Duties:
- Work in conjunction with Assistant PMs and Functional Leads to develop, edit, and review regulatory documentation in support of technical study reports, regulatory submissions, and journal publications.
- Work in conjunction with management support staff to identify organizational procedures and policies needing improvement.
- Assist in the revision of procedures (e.g., brief development and internal routing procedures) and policies, submitting all recommendations to leadership for approval.
- Serve as the change manager for creation of and updates to operations-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Serve as the change manager of various Multimedia projects, including but not limited to: JPM CBRN Medical Onboarding program, Smart Sheets, SOPs, templates, style guides, acronym guide, etc.
- Create and/or maintain the most recent and compliant document templates.
- Maintain a repository of current templates on the JPM CBRN Medical’s Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
- Work in conjunction with leadership to identify and write up Awards, as requested.
- Proactively research Awards for which it may be appropriate to nominate JPM CBRN Medical staff.
- Collaborate with operations leadership to produce and distribute monthly internal newsletter “CBRN Medical On the Move,” introducing new staff.
- Develop original articles, social media content, executive summaries, situational reports, white papers, information papers, memorandums, briefs, and additional documentation as needed.
- Serve as a member of the Multimedia Team, editing technical documents and briefings for formatting and technical accuracy.
- Participate in organizational meetings (e.g., staff meetings, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), etc.) to provide input and status updates for technical documentation.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- This position requires some formal training in communications, as well as the ability to analyze the strategic environment and align JPEO-CBRN Medical communications approaches to efficiently generate designs and messages for multiple audiences. Key elements for success include effective design elements that enhance and strengthen communications, clarity, and advising clients on the best design strategies tailored for specific audiences.
- The candidate shall maintain a valid Driver’s License to support special JPEO-CBRND events, programs or campaigns.
- Familiarization with DoD Acquisition.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree and/ or 10 years of equivalent work experience.
