As a Technical Project Manager for MJH, you will be working as a member of the Web Development team and responsible for developing, managing, and communicating plans that establish priority, scope, timelines, dependencies, constraints, and resource requirements for web development initiatives.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Manages assigned technical projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project.
  • Develops, maintains, and revises proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing.
  • Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.
  • Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.
  • Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports.
  • Facilitates gathering and validation of project requirements.
  • Develops and maintains project performance databases that tracks overall progress and accomplishment of specific milestones.
  • Ensures all parts of an assigned projects are processed, organized, and progressing according to predetermined timelines and deliverable dates.
  • Regularly communicates with customers/clients to arrange meetings, confirm project schedules, and discuss any project problems.
  • Coordinates internal and external resources scheduled, ensures projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets.
  • Develops and communicates detailed specifications for implementation. Negotiates plans and timeframes, ensures that clients understand the anticipated results.
  • Analyzes project progress and, when necessary, adapts timelines to achieve maximum benefit.
  • Forecasts potential schedule delays and develops alternate plans.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project management documentation.
  • Analyzes risks and provides regular updates to team members regarding projects status and any problems or potential problems. Takes proactive steps to minimize delays in delivery.
  • Collaborates with the Web Production and Development Teams to ensure the needs of the client have been met.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience managing technical projects in an Agile environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage cross-functional stakeholders with multiple competing priorities and align business priorities with technical team capacity and capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative relationship-building skills demonstrating the ability to manage conflicts and reach consensus.
  • Demonstrated skill using software project management/workflow tools such as Jira, Workfront, Atlas, CMS.
  • Great team player with the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of management.
  • Experience developing and maintaining workflow diagrams (conceptual, logical, and physical).
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
