Summary:

The Technical Project Manager plays a vital role in bridging technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure successful execution of projects related to data security, platform monitoring, and DevOps. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong technical background, particularly in cybersecurity, monitoring tools, and vendor management.

The Technical Project Manager collaborates across teams to monitor and address system exposures, manage audit processes, and support the overall security and functionality of Buzz Integrations' platforms. This position demands leadership in Agile practices, robust problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while driving continuous improvement and innovation in technical operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Project Leadership:
● Manage and prioritize projects related to data security, platform monitoring, and DevOps.
● Define project scopes, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in alignment with business goals.
● Lead Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) to ensure efficient team collaboration.


Data Security and Monitoring:
● Collaborate with the Data Security team to define goals and ensure compliance.
● Monitor tools (e.g. SIEM and compliance platforms) to address issues, manage exposures, and maintain system security.
● Manage audits by gathering evidence, tracking requirements, and assisting with remediation.


Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
● Coordinate with vendors for penetration testing, platform updates, and other services.
● Serve as the technical liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication of goals, progress, and roadblocks.


Issue Resolution and Risk Management:

● Identify risks, exposures, and issues across platforms.
● Open and manage tickets using ServiceNow, ensuring timely remediation.
● Conduct regular reviews with DevOps and Data Security teams to prioritize and address system vulnerabilities.


Process Optimization:
● Continuously refine monitoring, ticketing, and reporting processes to improve team efficiency.
● Enhance project delivery by introducing best practices for Agile and technical project management.

 

Documentation and Reporting:
● Maintain detailed project documentation, including requirements, test results, and audit evidence.
● Provide regular updates to leadership on project progress, KPIs, and technical metrics.


Minimum Qualifications:
● 5+ years of experience in technical project management within a software or technology environment.
● Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and DevOps monitoring systems.
● Strong technical understanding of Agile frameworks and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
● Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and vendor management skills.
● An “execution mindset” focused on getting things done quickly and simply. Strong bias for action and an intrinsic ability to deal with ambiguity
● Strong interpersonal skills, negotiating ability and evidence of enabling teamwork in a matrix environment
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience in managing penetration testing.
● Knowledge of regulatory compliance and audit processes (e.g., SOC 2, HiTrust).
● Certifications: PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or similar.


Certificate Preference:
● Project Management Professional (PMP)
Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

 

Work Location
This position can be remote for purposes of providing adequate support to internal clients; offshore teams, being available for interactions and coordination of work with other employees, colleagues, clients, or vendors;
as well as for facilitation of quick and effective decisions through collaboration with stakeholders.


Working Hours
This is an exempt level position requiring one to work the hours needed to get the job done. Therefore, one must have the flexibility to work beyond traditional hours and be able to work nights, weekends or on holidays
as required. This may be changed from time to time to meet the needs of the business. Typical core business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.


Travel
This position may require domestic travel as well as attendance at various local conferences and meeting.
