Equifax is seeking a Technical Product Owner who is a master at bridging the desires of the customer and the capabilities of the technology, removing barriers to software development. You will be responsible for grooming the product backlog and have insight into technical requirements of individual stories thus creating a more efficient user experience.
Equifax has a hybrid work schedule that allows for 2 days of remote work (Monday and Friday), with 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) every week.
This role reports to our office in Alpharetta, Georgia or in midtown ATL (OAC), with the flexibility to visit the other office on occasion.
This position does not offer immigration sponsorship (current or future) including F-1 STEM OPT extension support.
This is a direct-hire role and is not open to C2C or vendors.
What you will Do
-
You will take the functional leadership of two squads as the Product Owner for a Global Platform.

You will collaborate with other technical teams to understand dependencies and order of technical deliverables and identify non-functional requirements like infrastructure needs

You will own the Product Backlog and lead the backlog refinement, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories, ensuring clearly articulated acceptance criteria.

You will ensure technical requirements are clear, aligned, testable, and accurate.

You will work with Quality Assurance team member(s) to identify test cases for automated testing.

You will provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.

You will facilitate the Sprint ceremonies and ensure delivery teams are prepared to meet sprint deadlines.

You will play a key role in the change request (CR) ticketing process tied to global deployments of the platform enhancements (creation of tickets, getting approval from stakeholders, attending Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to get signoff).

You ensure Product leadership is aware of key issues and changes, and provide them with the right information and recommendations to resolve issues.

You are proactive and become the subject matter expert and be available for presenting and demoing the capabilities that your team is developing.
What experience you need
-
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business or equivalent job experience required.

2+ years of experience managing product backlogs and requirements for Agile delivery teams in a Product Owner capacity.

2+ years of experience as a software developer or QA Automation engineer and demonstrable knowledge in at least one programming language.

You are skilled at removing roadblocks.

You have experience delivering products using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

You possess a deep understanding of web service technologies, user interface/interaction, and knowledge of Product lifecycles.

You have experience with Product & Technology Roadmap development through influence of key business and technology partners to identify business priorities.
