We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager to join the Equifax Technology team; . you will provide the technical thought leadership to the product team, bridging the gap between idea and development, advancing technologies/concepts and seeking cross business unit collaboration on solutions. You will develop a formal global platform product roadmap that will allow for teams to reuse services across the business units to expedite speed to delivery. You will partner with your peers across Equifax to help define product strategy, working closely with business partners, engineering leaders and data & analytics leaders. You will be responsible for clearly setting the product prioritization with a balance of near-term deliverables and longer-term investment in technology platforms. You will partner with corporate development to assess M&A opportunities to ensure they are a strategic fit across Equifax’s product offerings and develop plans on how they integrate within the technology stack. You will also regularly assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations and make trade-offs stabilizing product needs against constraints. In this position, you will play a lead role in transforming the global product platform team within our different business units. You will have strong collaborative skills and influence, have strong technical skills, work effectively in a matrix organization, and overall be able to successfully partner across various teams of your product delivery value stream.
What You’ll Do

  • Industry Capability Assessment: Own overall Market Opportunity Assessment (Stakeholdering) for product and product lines capabilities managed; Demonstrate deep understanding of customer capability and product needs through stakeholder engagement, market and industry research and analysis; Use strong knowledge of competitive landscape, market trends and industry research to anticipate, articulate and drive high-potential opportunities that demonstrate competitive advantage; Lead validation through review and testing of concepts with internal users and external customers (voice of customer, customer advisory boards, etc.)  

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Provides inputs for Product line and BU strategy and planning sessions specially around feasibility of big bets; Articulate the vision and strategy of their product/product line they are responsible for in alignment with the larger strategy and vision of the BU/EFX; Foster innovation by bringing up new problems, encouraging new ways to solve existing problems, and valuing learning; Define and establish objectives and track and manage multiple products through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that can connect Product line  with BU goals

  • Product Definition and Planning: Participates in the process of translating product line vision & strategy into a shorter term (1-2 year) execution plan that connects multiple products and capabilities at the solution level; Drives the process to determine the right delivery increments that balance commercial and technical goals and constraints in partnership with delivery partners and other teams (e.g. Legal and compliance); Provides inputs in the evaluation of delivery alternatives including build, buy and partner; Drives the process of identifying dependencies and synergies for the delivery plan and partners with teams to align timelines; Provides inputs in the evaluation of delivery alternatives including build, buy and partner; Drives development of business cases (articulating scope, approach, return on investment, capacity planning and delivery milestones of the plan) and creation of product roadmap used in planning sessions across the Product Delivery Value Stream; Track attainment of objectives through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Product Delivery and Launch: Leads the collection and documentation of Business/Technical requirements for product development, inclusive of functional and cross-functional requirements; Creates content and host sessions to educate and evangelize how delivery increments and requirements connect to the WHY of the solution; Collaborate with delivery partners (Product Owners, technology, D&A and others) to identify, document and resolve critical trade-offs; Drives the work with business product managers to align requirements with Legal & compliance and Operations to ensure compliance with applicable controls; Drives collaboration with internal partners (ie Operations, Sales, Marketing) for delivery, including supporting documentation, demos and training; Collect and process feedback from the different increment demos to adjust and evolve the product roadmap; Continuously track upstream and downstream dependencies and synergies that will drive the success of the plan; Owns intake mechanisms for internal requests

  • Growth and Portfolio Management: Drive product engagement and satisfaction and manage the product’s performance including attainment of revenue, unit cost and margin objectives; Assess monitored product adoption and usage and engage in the collection of customer feedback; Assess and plan the product’s future lifecycle, to include enhancement and sunsetting; Lead on-going product management of product offerings to ensure new capabilities meet customer/market needs; Lead efforts to maintain awareness of and champion on-going sustained competitive differentiation; Collect, analyze and interpret data to reach conclusions and/or present insights and findings to drive product development and lifecycle management decisions including enhancements and sunsetting

Experience you will need

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered

  • 7-10 years of related product management experience in a cloud-based and/or SaaS environment

  • Proven experience leading large initiatives with pragmatic marketing frameworks, Lean product management, and Agile concepts 

  • Experience leading large initiatives with data structures, data analytics and AI concepts strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a highly matrixed organization strongly desired; Team lead experience or demonstrated capabilities strongly desired

  • Demonstrated experience understanding and driving financial performance (P&L) for product initiatives

  • Cloud certification strongly preferred
