Job Description:

The Technical Product Manager plays a critical role in bridging the gap between strategic product management and technical teams, ensuring the seamless translation of organizational vision and goals into tangible technical solutions. This role involves a deep understanding of the technology stack, active collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a strong focus on delivering high-quality products that meet market needs and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the product lifecycle from ideation through launch and beyond, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery of product functionalities
  • Develop detailed product requirements and specifications by gathering feedback from stakeholders, conducting market research, and analyzing competitive landscapes
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility, resource allocation, and timelines are met
  • Drive product roadmap, prioritize features based on business and customer impact, and define clear metrics for success
  • Collaborate with strategic product management, sales, marketing, and support teams to develop go-to-market strategies, product messaging, and customer enablement materials
  • Engage with customers and partners to gather insights, identify pain points, and validate solutions
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products to inform strategic decisions
  • Manage and prioritize backlog, ensuring alignment with company goals and user needs
  • Provide ongoing product training and support for internal teams and external partners
  • Develop and present product demos, use cases, and technical presentations to various stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, technical project management, or related roles within the technology sector
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Strong technical understanding and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to senior executives and customers
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable products
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the tech industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a technical field such as software development, systems engineering, or similar
  • Strong understanding of IoT technologies, including knowledge of IoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, AMQP).
  • Familiarity with connectivity solutions such as LPWAN, 4G/5G, Wi-Fi, Thread, and Bluetooth.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, Azure), edge computing, and big data analytics.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and their applications in IoT is a plus
  • MBA or equivalent business experience is a plus
  • Professional certifications in product management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Pragmatic Marketing)
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
  • Self-motivated with a proactive mindset, demonstrating ownership and accountability in delivering product outcomes
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction
