Job Summary:

We are seeking a well-rounded and motivated individual to join our Enterprise Data Capabilities Portfolio Management team to manage the data product portfolio for Risk & Finance Lines of Business. As a Lead Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in executing our data strategy to design and implement new data products & services while supporting the current state.  The candidate must have a strong functional and technical understanding of banking products and data that feed into Risk and Regulatory Reports.  This individual will also lead a small team of business analysts and scrum masters, emphasizing technology adoption, process optimization, and continuous delivery of Data, AI, and BI Products & Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis and produce specifications for data & reporting needs for Risk Reports (Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk, Operational Risk, Compliance Risk, Reputation Risk, etc.) and Regulatory Reports (FFIEC002, 019, FR Y 2052a, FR Y-15)
  • Gather and write Data Product requirements through collaborative stakeholder partnerships.
  • Work closely with engineering organizations to ensure quality software deliveries, aligning with product visions and customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders to understand their business challenges and identify how data solutions can support their objectives
  • Enable data discovery, data contextualization, data preparation, meaningful data-driven insights
  • Support Centralized Demand Management for Project and BAU work requests, ad hoc analytical requests from business partners, product ideas and create/maintain a holistic view of all work and resources.
  • Manage incremental deliverables while centralizing important information so that everyone’s always on the same page
  • Play an active role in scrums such as backlog refinement, sprint planning and execution
  • Spotlight issues that need attention. Proactively manage changes and issues

Required Skillset/Experience:

  • 10+ years overall experience with deep functional and technical understanding and implementation experience with Data warehousing and/or Data Lakes, and Data Marts
  • 5+ years of most recent experience in Banking & Financial Services sector
  • Proven experience in a senior product management role, using Agile methodology
  • Experience in Credit Risk Reporting and Regulatory Reporting and associated data
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g. BCBS 239, GDPR, etc.)
  • Experience with packaged software solutions such as Axiom, Workiva, etc. is a plus
  • Experience preparing user stories, data flows, and product technical specifications
  • Expertise in Data analysis, including creating complex SQL queries
  • Experience in Jira, Confluence, MS office
  • Knowledge of Data Integration/ETL tools (Informatica, Glue, etc.)
  • Proficiency in SQL, and relational databases such as Oracle, SqlServer, DB2
  • Exposure to Cloud technologies such as AWS
  • Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability in building consensus across stakeholders

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in science or business or management or finance related fields.

MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $133K - $164K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
