Altus Group is currently seeking a Technical Product Manager with 3+ years’ experience who are looking to cement their career path within a Global company.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Product Lead, the Technical Product Manager is passionate about software development, valuations and appraisals, technology, and delivering innovative solutions. As a Technical Product Manager, you will be involved in leading and owning the technical and financial aspects of Excel-based valuation products, including enhancements, new development, and maintenance, while collaborating with development teams to tailor solutions for the real estate sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain technical expertise in Excel-based valuation models, optimizing complex calculations.

  • Design, develop, and test new valuation products tailored to real estate markets, ensuring revenue growth.

  • Drive product updates, fixes, and feature enhancements for improved functionality and user experience.

  • Prioritize bugs, feature requests, and ideas to align development with market opportunities.

  • Provide advanced technical support for high-value accounts, resolving complex Excel-related issues.

  • Analyse customer insights and market trends to influence product strategy and roadmap.

  • Develop user-friendly dashboards and analyse product performance using tools like Azure Application Insights.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and UX, to deliver successful product launches.

  • Represent Forbury at industry events, sharing thought leadership and gathering stakeholder insights.

  • Support decision-making with detailed business cases, emphasizing cost-benefit analysis and commercial viability.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 3+ years’ experience in product management or a technical financial role, ideally involving Excel-based products.

  • Proven expertise in advanced Excel functions, particularly in financial modelling.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Dovetail.

  • Strong financial acumen with a focus on valuation modelling.

  • Familiarity with analytics tools like Azure Application Insights is advantageous.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across diverse teams.

  • Familiarity with software development processes and technical concepts is an advantage.
