The role
We're looking for a Technical Product Manager - Compute (hypervisor) to join our team. In this role, you will manage the plans and priorities for services related to compute, including Virtual machines (CPU and GPU), GPU clusters, disks, API (compute part). You will be responsible for forming and managing backlogs for compute service teams and overseeing key company projects involving compute and gpu.
Responsibilities
- Manage the backlog for compute service teams.
- Oversee key company projects involving compute services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product features and requirements.
- Ensure the successful delivery of compute services, focusing on performance, scalability and reliability.
Requirements
- Experience with hypervisor technologies in roles such as Engineer, Cloud Solutions Architect, Cloud Architect, or Systems Architect.
- Experience implementing production-grade products based on virtualisation.
- Familiar with technologies and products such as kvm, qemu, kubevirt, openstack nova.
- Extensive technical expertise in the IaaS stack, including Linux based operating systems, Storage, and Network.
- Strong technical knowledge in at least two of these areas is essential.
- Relevant experience in ML and HPC is desirable but not mandatory, as the candidate is expected to adapt and learn quickly.
- Product management experience is not required but a willingness to learn is essential.
Ideal Candidate
- Individuals from hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, Azure) or other public cloud providers and their partners.
- Relevant experience in building private clouds within big tech companies or smaller tech firms.
- Global market experience is not mandatory.
- Relevant experience in ML and HPC is desirable but not mandatory, as the candidate is expected to adapt and learn quickly.
- Product management experience.
