To continue this trajectory, we’re searching for a highly qualified individual to work closely with our executive team for our technical org. This person will have an immediate impact on our productivity by streamlining strategic initiatives, supporting the CPTO Office of the Chief of Staff’s process adoption, and communicating objectives to the assigned department(s). 

We are seeking a Technical Operations Manager for the SVP of IaaS / Data Center. In this role, you will be a key leader, reporting to the CPTO Chief of Staff and working directly with the SVP of IaaS / Data Center to drive strategic initiatives, streamline operations, and ensure the efficient execution of our technical projects. You will serve as a trusted advisor and partner, enabling the SVP of IaaS / Data Center and leadership team to focus on high-priority tasks and contribute to the organization's long-range planning and vision. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

What will you be doing? 

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Track and report on the progress of key, strategic initiatives and objectives, helping with risk management & risk mitigation. Lead and oversee prioritization of Initiatives for the Org, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives. Collaborate directly with functional leaders to develop, drive and deliver operational strategies that support business growth.
  • Operations Management: Partner with SVP, Iaas / Data Center to develop and manage operational metrics and KPIs to track performance and identify areas for optimization. Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and other materials as needed. Lead operational efficiency initiatives, recommending and implementing process improvements.
  • Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and management for the technical organization, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Monitor progress of hiring to budget and expedite hiring activities, where necessary, to align to plan.
  • Technical Project Management: Oversee and manage key technical projects, tracking progress, identifying risks, and ensuring timely completion.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Facilitate communication and collaboration between different departments and leaders within the organization to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives.
  • Executive Support: Act as the primary point of contact between the SVP, IaaS / Data Center and other stakeholders, including executives, staff members, partners, and external contacts.
  • Policy and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and implement best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Internal Strategic Communications: Develop and deliver clear and effective communications on behalf of the SVP, Iaas / Data Center and CPTO Office of the Chief of Staff.
  • Organizational Initiatives: Drive employee engagement, recognition programs and social events.
  • Special Projects: Undertake special projects and initiatives as directed, often requiring cross-functional collaboration and innovation.

  • Proven experience in a technical leadership role, preferably within a technology-driven organization.
  • Deep expertise in developing, presenting and overseeing financial budgets ensuring alignment with company goals, best practices and regulations in accounting and financial areas.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project execution and change management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate executive presence and experience managing high-touch relationships and highly visible and sensitive strategy and planning matters.
  • Experience scaling and optimizing business processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira and Confluence), in particular for managing the flow of value and delivering curated information to appropriate stakeholders.
  • A high level of comfort with a remote-first way of working and culture.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (Master's degree preferred).

  • We reward our employees. The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $180,000 based on market data, relevant years of experience, and skills. You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance. We also provide equity compensation to eligible employees, including equity grants upon hire and the option to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
