The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Software Architect to drive software solutions and lead a skilled development team. You are a member of an integrated team that includes Account Management, Project Management, Design, UX, and Quality Assurance.
As the Technical Lead you will be directly involved in the approach, design, scoping, development, testing and deployment of custom software solutions. These solutions are deployed across a variety of tech stacks and infrastructure providers, including AWS and Azure.
You'll combine technical leadership with hands-on architectural guidance to deliver high-quality software products while maintaining existing systems. You are an expert translator who can turn our clients' high-level visions into low-level technical details, and back. You are cool under pressure and comfortable sitting face-to-face with the client to understand their needs and concerns, while also eager to write code and support the team in delivering the solutions.
As a Software Architect and Technical Lead, there will be ample opportunity to introduce new and better technologies, techniques, and solutions that grow our expertise and provide better solutions for our clients.

This position reports to the VP, MarTech IT Operations and Security. It is a fully remote opportunity, and we are seeking candidates that can work West Coast or MST business hours.
You will:
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of backend and frontend developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
- Design and architect custom software solutions while ensuring technical standards and best practices
- Drive cloud infrastructure decisions using AWS services and implement Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable solutions for stakeholders and clients
- Monitor application performance and implement effective observability solutions
- Maintain and modernize legacy applications while ensuring system stability
- Continuing education, training and process improvement for the development team
- Working with the Client and Project Management team to clearly define the client goals, objectives, and project timelines to ensure successful delivery
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience leading development teams and managing software development lifecycles
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture patterns
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, particularly AWS CDK
- High-level knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, and Java
- Experience with both SQL databases and NoSQL databases, particularly DynamoDB
- Deep understanding of application monitoring and observability practices
- Experience presenting technical solutions to non-technical audiences
- Experience implementing and improving CI/CD pipelines and automated end to end integration testing
- Experience working with cross channel team members and external stakeholders (clients, agencies)

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations. We consider compensation more than just a base salary – that’s why we also offer an exceptional range of flexible benefits, personal support and tailored learning and development opportunities all designed to help you realize your full potential both in life and at work.
Compensation
$140,000—$160,000 USD
