Group/Division
With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. First to deliver the best imaging and classification data for every defect or point on any layer at any time. EBeam’s mission encapsulates its role as the “eyes” of KLA’s product line, providing timely information on defects and critical locations on the wafer at the highest spatial resolution possible. Customers use EBeam products alongside KLA patterned and bare wafer inspectors to quickly understand the nature of defects and other imperfections on product wafers and take action to correct the manufacturing process.
Job Description
- Responsible for software development activities using C++, C# .Net, WPF, Angular
- Responsible for building software infrastructure for On-tool capabilities and grow into SW Architect
- Acquire and demonstrate technical knowledge of review and inspection software
- Participate in end to end product development lifecycle activities
- Acquire knowledge of key use cases in defect review and inspection using eBeam tools
- Collaborate with teams across different geographical zones to drive / develop / deliver software solutions
- Work across groups including systems/hardware, marketing, applications and manufacturing on all aspects of software project including requirement definition, design, development, deployment, support and service
- Understand and put to effective use software development best practices.
- Understand, troubleshoot, and drive difficult issues that span whole software systems. Able to uncover root cause and to devise and drive innovative analyses and solutions for complex problems.
- Travel to other KLA-Tencor sites and customer sites on a needed basis
Minimum Qualification
- 5+ years of work experience
- Good academics. BE/BTech/MS/MCA/MTech (CS/Electronics/Physics/ECE degree)
- Strong in programming fundamentals, C++, C# .Net, WPF
- Experience in Multi-threaded and multi-core software application programming
- Strong ability to understand software architectures/design and develop solutions conformant to defined architectures and design.
- Good understanding of SW principles and constructs
- Experience in requirements elicitation, design, development, effective reuse, diagnostics and configuration management.
- Proven experience in using UML, OOP and OOD methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Proven experience in debugging large complex software
- Self learner, able to work with minimum supervision
- Good knowledge of SDLC and software engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication and team work skills
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Level Degree or work experience of 3 years
Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 5 years
