Technical Integrator

Verition Fund Management LLC (“Verition”) is a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund founded in 2008.  Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Global Credit, Global Convertible, Volatility & Capital Structure Arbitrage, Event-Driven Investing, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets Trading, and Global Quantitative Trading.

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Integrator to join our team. This role involves onboarding Portfolio Managers onto our proprietary trading system, configuring new releases, and ensuring smooth deployments while managing associated risks. The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a good understanding of trading workflows.

This position sits at the intersection of DevOps and TradeOps, requiring Level 2 production support responsibilities while working closely with Portfolio Managers, TradeOps, and Developers.

Responsibilities:

• Onboard Portfolio Managers onto our proprietary trading system.
• Manage configurations and deployments for new releases while mitigating potential risks.
• Actively engage with Portfolio Managers to understand and translate their requirements into system configurations.
• Work cross-functionally with TradeOps, Developers, and other technical teams to ensure smooth trading operations.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of trading workflows and system features.
• Have a basic grasp of financial markets, order execution, risk management, and trading operations.
• Leverage technical skills to manage configurations, deployments, and system integrations.
• Use GitHub, JSON, Jenkins, Bash, and Python (good to have) for automation and system improvements.
• Write automation scripts to enhance team productivity and streamline processes.
• Act as Level 2 support, working between TradeOps (Level 1) and Developers (Level 3) to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Proactively monitor system health, identify potential issues, and implement preventive measures.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role (TradeOps, DevOps, Technical Integrations, or Trading Support).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage risk in trading environments.
• Experience with GitHub, JSON, Jenkins, Bash, and Python (Python is a plus).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with Portfolio Managers and technical teams.
• Excellent team player with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
