You will join the Data Platforms Greenfields Crew within the Chief Data and Analytics Office (‘CDAO’), building out our new Cloud data platform. This will enable our Data and AI strategy across all lines of business in the group.

In this role
As a Technical Data Analyst/Senior Technical Data Analyst. You will define the key requirements for our Cloud Data Platform and work on defining and rolling out the capability.

Other duties will include:

Deliver Crew and/or COE outcomes within the squad.

You will define the key requirements needed for our users to actively engage our platform.

Rollout of new capability features, by leading and/or contributing to communications, training facilitation and providing support to various stakeholders.

Utilising advanced knowledge in data pipelines, data architecture and job orchestration to design solutions for our data platforms tying together how data is loaded, transformed and published.

Work across multiple delivery streams to deliver value in technical and business outcomes.

Establish data governance standards and processes, ensuring that data is accurate and reliable.

Stay up to date with emerging trends in data analytics, data science and technology.
We’re interested in hearing from people who have

Demonstrated technical data analysis experience
-
Have experience working in Teradata Group Data Warehouse, Cloudera Hadoop Big Data platforms, and various ETL frameworks.

Have experience working in distributed cloud systems , serverless architecture, cloud data storage and cloud computing or AWS (advantage)
-
Strong stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills.
-
Showcase Human Centred Design techniques.
-
Experience in defining and documenting future state processes.
-
Strong expertise in data intensive environments including databases, data lake houses, data warehouses and data platforms.

Analyse data, data lineage and data patterns in data risk mitigation strategies.
-
Utilise strong communication skills.
-
Strong documentation skills.
-
Good understanding of data management and data governance processes.

Experience of working with SQL to conduct data analysis and data profiling.

Financial services and banking domain experience.
-
Can motivate and lead others across various delivery streams including supporting more junior members of the team (Senior Technical Data Analyst)

Be certified or be able to complete, the AWS Associate Data Engineer Certification (supported by CBA).
