Your Role
Gensler’s London Studio is seeking a Senior Technical Coordinator to join our Workplace Studios. You will be a Revit genius who will be responsible for initiating the technical solutions to best meet the client and design briefs. You will be experienced in handling the technical process, with excellent communication and team relationship skills, and the ability to understand and interpret client, designer and contractor’s needs and requirements.
What You Will Do
As a Technical Coordinator, you will tap into your boundless creativity to design unique professional environments, providing technical support for completion and execution of projects, working on all project stages.
- Design and deliver design projects with a focus on Workplace design and delivery
- Operate across multiple projects simultaneously working in diverse teams to deliver major projects
- Work with our wider offices and consultancy team to develop innovative technical design solutions
- Initiate the technical solutions which best meet the client’s brief
- Support the team in detailed technical development of design and technical input during the preparation and execution of construction documents and on site
- Support the team in collaboration with the Design Manager and Designer colleagues
- Responsible for making the technical team aware of current building legislation and the Quality Management System
- Help with the technical aspects of the project team and oversee all phases
- Manage the design team towards a cohesive and rational technical solution which conforms to the project brief and is technically, legally and financially responsible
Your Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology or equivalent, with demonstrable experience in design, detailing and/or construction practice
- Expert knowledge of and proven practical background in Autodesk Revit and related BIM software
- 8 Years of experience in the design and delivery of architectural projects is essential, experience in Workplace design and delivery an advantage.
- You will have extensive knowledge of industrial construction techniques and be capable of working across multiple projects
- Capable of working in Revit environment to BIM Level 2 standards
- Must be willing to travel to sites across UK and Europe
- Articulate, passionate and persuasive communicator able to convey BIM concepts to all levels of design and delivery professionals and clients
- Team player with leadership skills with a flexible and open attitude
- The ability to support a team with good collaboration skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
