Technical Buyer (MRO – Mechanical Components)
📍 Location: Santhià, Italy – with travel to Milan approximately once a week
💼 Industry: Pharmaceutical | 🕒 Full-time, Onsite
We’re looking for an experienced and technically minded Mechanical Buyer to join our growing operations team at a new pharmaceutical client site in Italy. This is a hands-on role that requires deep understanding of industrial equipment, spare parts, and supplier management.

The role's primary location will be Santhià, with travel to Milan approximately once a week.
What you'll do:
- Manage the procurement of mechanical MRO spare parts for production machinery
- Build and maintain supplier relationships – pricing, terms, performance tracking
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams
- Analyze inventory consumption and optimize stock levels
- Conduct market research and identify new sourcing opportunities
- Create and manage purchase orders, ensure delivery timelines and quality
- Resolve supply chain issues: shortages, quality discrepancies, delays
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in mechanical or technical procurement
- Strong technical understanding of machinery, components, and industrial equipment
- Experience negotiating with international suppliers
- Background in manufacturing/maintenance environments (pharma/heavy industry – a plus)
- Data analysis skills – ability to develop inventory models
- Fluency in Italian and English – required
- Independent, detail-oriented, and proactive approach
- ERP/SAP experience – an advantage
- Education in logistics, supply chain, or engineering – a plus
