Job Description
Corporate Investment Banking - Post Trade Technology Regulatory Reporting team is responsible for meeting the firms' regulatory obligations to report IB trading globally. We work on major regulations like North American regulations (CFTC, SEC, Canada), European regulations (EMIR, MiFID, etc), APAC regulations(ASIC, MAS, JFSA, etc)
As a member of our Software Engineering team, you will be involved in mining global JPMC trade data in large data stores and help build reports and dashboards for regulatory, compliance & surveillance. We are looking for techno-functional data and ML engineers who preferably has software Engineering background and has good exposure on Investment banking domain. This is a tremendous opportunity to learn about high-priority regulatory reporting initiatives and collaborate with colleagues throughout the firm. Working at the intersection of business and technology, you'll sharpen your understanding of business processes and data analysis, while continuing to develop your leadership, management and communication skills.
This role is based in Mumbai and the candidate will be responsible to perform data analysis, onboard data from multiple systems, incorporate data completeness and accuracy checks across Equities, Credit, Rates, Commodities, FX, Fixed Income business.
Essential:
- Minimum 3-5years of technology business analyst experience
- Degree from reputed University with good grades.
- Should have knowledge of database technologies and hands-on data analysis (database query skills).
- Strong communication skills in English - verbal and written
- Should be driven to use modern data technologies, AI/ML, Python, Data Bricks, Spark or other relevant data tools that would facilitate requirements analysis and developing business logic.
- A product mindset.
- Comply with the JPMC Project Life Cycle and internal processes.
- Good co-ordination skills to work in partnership with users, project manager and developers
- Thorough understanding of SDLC phases and essential documentation in each of these steps.
- Ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships across business, technology and operations as well as across regions and lines of business
- A strong understanding of at least one business function and broader understanding of other areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed data analysis of requirements by running database queries.
- Liaise with development team and provide on-going clarifications
- Managing and drive Data accuracy: Identify data gaps, anomalies, issues in regulatory reporting and remediate those by working closely with multiple technology and business teams.
- Detailed planning and analysis of the data and compliance requirements. Understand and work towards the defined Data Management strategy
- Generate testing plan/test cases, perform UAT support, raise/track issues & ensure user queries are addressed.
- Responsible for conducting global training for all developers on business.
- Closely track change requests / ad hoc activities and communicate the impact on a timely basis
- Build detailed documentation for functional processes, business logic, high level data flows.
- Focus to provide automation & self service functionality for reports so as to reduce operations manual touch points.
Desirable :
- Prior experience working for an investment bank, functioning as a data analyst in technology projects is desirable.
