As a Technical Architect, you will be at the forefront of designing and delivering sophisticated solutions for modern eCommerce and enterprise-scale systems. This role will involve you deeply in assessing current client technology landscapes, identifying opportunities for transformation, and crafting composable architectures that drive innovation and scalability.
You will work across the entire lifecycle of projects, from initial discovery and solution design to implementation and optimisation. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies, you will create systems that integrate AI services, ensure seamless interoperability, and provide outstanding performance. Collaboration is at the heart of this role: you will partner with Strategy, UX, Creative, and Development teams to deliver cohesive, forward-thinking solutions. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop technical roadmaps, architecture blueprints, and comprehensive solution designs.
- Provide thought leadership on monitoring, observability, and infrastructure best practices, ensuring systems are reliable and maintainable.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to validate and communicate technical designs effectively.
- Assess and analyse clients’ existing technology stacks to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
- Design, document, and present scalable, future-proof solutions leveraging composable and MACH-based architectures (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, and Headless).
- Use Next.js and similar frameworks to deliver performant and maintainable front-end solutions when applicable.
- Integrate cutting-edge AI services into client solutions to enhance functionality and user experiences.
- Collaborate with Strategy, UX, UI, and Development teams to deliver the best responses to client briefs.
- Scope projects in collaboration with Project Managers, ensuring alignment with delivery timelines and budgets.
- Manage and mentor development teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, especially in AI, MarTech, and enterprise solutions.
QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS
- Expertise in Modern Architectures: Deep understanding of composable systems, MACH principles, cloud-based architectures, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Familiarity with Next.js and its ecosystem, including Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), and API routes.
- Familiarity with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices, and SaaS product integrations.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Azure Monitor, Datadog, or similar.
- Strong understanding of Azure Cloud Platform services, including compute, storage, networking, and DevOps pipelines.
- Experience in building and deploying infrastructure using Azure-native tools and best practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.
- Proven ability to assess client requirements, identify gaps, and design technical solutions effectively.
- Good communication skills: translating complex technical concepts into clear and actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- A background in engineering or development, with the ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
- Passion for innovation and staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
