Flexible Workplace
This role is a flex office/home role and comes with the expectation you will engage onsite a certain number of working days per month, in our brand-new office located in Dublin, Ohio, with your Bold Penguin colleagues and customers. On-site workdays will be managed at the team level to maintain an environment focused on work-life balance, innovation velocity, and the delivery of exceptional customer experiences.
In this role, you will be expected to work 20% of working days per month (4 days per month on average) in the office. This is a minimum expectation. All employees are welcome to work in the office as much as they like. Applicants must be local (within 35 miles) to Dublin, Ohio.
YOUR ROLE
The Technical Analyst will operate within an agile environment as part of a cross-functional software delivery team. Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, engineers, QA, and others to translate business requirements into quality technical solutions. Become a subject matter expert in the tech and rules powering our product and its value proposition to our customers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work with the appropriate business and IT groups throughout the application lifecycle to gather requirements, including design creation, rules review, and test case development and execution.
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements including conditional rule-writing and data mapping.
- Leverage API platform software to test the authentication, connectivity and performance with partner APIs and related systems.
- Monitor technical systems for errors/bugs and lead cross-functional efforts to analyze impact on users and identify solutions.
- Identify areas for simplification and bundling of IT requests to streamline project execution and make recommendations towards the need to develop new or reuse existing functionality.
- Clearly document the requirements, incorporating flow charts, wireframes, or other visual aids, as needed, for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Create user stories with functional requirements and acceptance criteria .
- Assist with project management for selected projects.
- Act as SME for the project to various internal groups, such as engineering, QA, and analytics.
- Collect, manipulate and analyze data from various sources.
- Identify trends and patterns in data to help inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-4 years experience in Information Technology, Data Science or related field
- Organized with attention to detail
- Ability to quickly learn and to creatively solve new problems
- Critical thinker who enjoys solving problems
- Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders who have different levels of technical expertise
- Technical skills:
- JIRA / Confluence
- Postman or similar API platforms
- Tableau or similar data visualization tools
- MS Visio / Lucidchart or other flowchart / process illustration tool
- MS Office
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time, (up to 8 hours per day) at a desk working on a computer.
- Must be able to use standard office equipment for extended periods of time, including but not limited to, a mouse, keyboard, phone and video conferencing.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to access and navigate the corporate office.

The compensation range for this role is $67,800 to $100,700 . This position offers a competitive salary range that may vary based on experience and qualifications.
