About the role:
As a Tech Program Manager in the Marketing space within the Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDT) business unit, you will focus on designing and implementing Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Data Cloud Solutions, with a strong emphasis on Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP). Your role also involves the optimization of solutions for performance, reliability, and scalability, while also implementing robust audit, monitoring, backup, and archival solutions to support compliance. Collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders, you will translate business needs into effective technical solutions, maintaining continuous dialogue with both business and IT teams to ensure robustness, accuracy and consistency.
This role requires a strong technical background, leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset to drive the project to success. You will establish and enforce best practices, lead the delivery of scalable and secure solutions, and ensure that the execution aligns with critical project/business objectives. You will also be instrumental in fostering a culture of technical and engineering proficiency, mentoring a team of software developers and data engineers.
Collaborating closely with business stakeholders and global leadership, you will ensure that the team's efforts enhance business capabilities and drive forward the strategic goals of PDT as well as Takeda. Your leadership will be key in advancing the technology landscape to support the evolving needs of the global marketplace.
This position will align to External Experience chapter of the ICC and report to the PDT Delivery Lead for strategic direction as well as day-to-day management.
How you will contribute:
- Responsible for designing, solutioning, and planning the execution of projects.
- Oversee broader teams covering multiple projects to ensure cohesive progress.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and milestones to key stakeholders, ensuring adherence to timelines.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing technical leadership and ensuring best practices.
- Design and implement Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Salesforce Data Cloud solutions, with a focus on Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP).
- Architect and implement complex marketing automation workflows and customer journeys.
- Manage SFMC, MCP, and Data Cloud implementations, ensuring successful delivery of complex journeys and solutions.
- Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for system improvements and optimizations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other stakeholders, to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Integrate Salesforce Marketing Cloud with other systems and platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SFMC and associated integrations.
- Develop and implement audit, monitoring, backup, and archival solutions.
- Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and security.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all development processes, technical solutions, architectures, and code.
- Stay up to date with the latest SFMC features, MCP advancements, and Data Cloud technologies.
- Optimize application performance and ensure scalability.
- Manage and coordinate with external vendors and partners for project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and data privacy regulations in all implementations.
- Develop and present technical solutions and proposals to stakeholders and executive management.
- Monitor and analyze system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a similar field required. Master's degree in a similar field would be a plus
- 8-11 years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Data Cloud
- Strong understanding of Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP) and Salesforce Data Cloud products.
- Expertise in SFMC modules such as Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder.
- Proficiency in AMPscript, SQL, SSJS, and API integrations, custom solutions.
- Experience with data modeling, data integration, and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of marketing automation's best practices and customer journey mapping.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Consultant, Marketing Cloud Developer) are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
- Experience in designing scalable and high-performance solutions.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing data-driven marketing strategies.
- Strong understanding of security best practices and data privacy regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in conducting technical assessments and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Expertise in preferences management and custom preference center
- Expertise in data modeling, data harmonization, field mapping, and unification rules in Data Cloud.
- Experience with web campaign management in Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP).
Preferred requirements:
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Familiarity with other Salesforce products such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Community Cloud.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for email and landing page development.
- Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and other data privacy regulations.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and their application in marketing automation.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
- Experience in managing and optimizing large-scale data environments.
- Ability to drive changes across technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
