Operations Team Leader (System Migration – Helix)

Do you love to take on complex challenges and thrive in a dynamic environment? Are you an experienced Team Leader looking for an opportunity to play a key role in a large-scale system migration? As a Team Leader Operations (System Migration – Helix) at UPS, you will support the transition from the current GWS warehouse management system to Helix across multiple client locations.
This role is not a traditional Team Leader position—you will not directly manage an operations team. Instead, you will work alongside existing Team Leaders, ensuring smooth migrations while maintaining operational stability. You will lead two Inventory Controllers, who will support UAT testing and existing processes during migration. Once a site successfully transitions to Helix, you will move on to the next migration project, supporting multiple locations one by one.
What you'll do
As a Team Leader in this migration project, you will:
- Support and guide existing Team Leaders and operational teams during the transition from GWS to Helix.
- Oversee the stability and performance of warehouse operations throughout the migration process.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that new processes and workflows are effectively implemented.
- Troubleshoot challenges, mitigate risks, and provide solutions to ensure minimal disruption during go-live.
- Act as the main point of contact for operational teams during the migration phase.
- Lead two Inventory Controllers, who will assist with UAT testing and maintaining existing processes.
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards
throughout the transition.
