Tax Senior
Location: Atlanta, GA (Midtown)
Work style: Hybrid 4 days/wk in office (Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu)
The Tax Senior will be responsible for working in an exciting corporate tax department performing a range of tasks primarily in the areas of SEC tax reporting (ASC 740) and US federal and state tax returns and calculations. In addition, when time allows, this position will include an opportunity to work in the areas of global tax planning, transfer pricing, and special projects. The role requires the creation of a strong partnership with accounting and finance and requires a proactive mindset. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, flexible and can handle multiple projects while producing accurate and timely results. You will be a process manager and in a high visibility role with great growth opportunity!
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Assist with quarterly and annual worldwide income tax provisions.
- Prepare tax adjustment for provision and return.
- Record journal entries as needed to general ledger.
- Assist in analysis, research, and documentation.
- Assist with special tax projects.
- Support tax process documentation and SOX controls
- Prepare income tax account reconciliations.
- Review US federal and state tax returns and calculations
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Basic understanding of accounting and general ledger systems and processes
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment as a team.
