Responsibilities  

As a Statutory and Tax senior associate, you will manage the local statutory audit, tax accounting, local direct and indirect tax duties while ensuring compliance with Taiwan Tax Law. 

 

Statutory Audit & Financial Reporting 

  • Coordinate and oversee the month-end close activities with Finance Shared Services team in Malaysia and India across all finance & accounting processes to deliver high quality on time reporting and closing. 

  • Well plan and lead annual audit, liaise with the external auditor and coordinate other functions to ensure sufficient resources to complete the statutory audit on a timely basis to meet Global deadline. 

  • Support warehouse & logistics team to perform audit physical stocktake annually. 

  • Respond to ad hoc queries of reporting from various stakeholders including Finance and different business functions. 

  

Tax Reporting & Compliance 

  • Conduct month-end tax reconciliations for revenue/COGS/withholding. 

  • Responsible for direct or indirect tax matters of the company to ensure that tax reports are filed on time and comply with Taiwanese tax regulations. 

  • Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly/annually required tax related reports and government survey on time. 

  • Collaborates with the different teams and stakeholders on the VAT requirement. 

  • Follow up closely and work on required information for VAT refunds with Government Authority if any. 

  • Act as single point of contact to comply with local and global tax assignments. 

  

  

Team Leadership and Development 

  • Integrate and train both local and share service team share local market practice to support the continued professional development of the team. 

  

Skills and Experiences  

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA qualification preferred. 

  • At least 7 years working experience, inclusive of 2 years of managerial experience, experience in a medium to large multinational corporation definitely is an advantage. 

  • Experience in audit firm is a plus. 

  • Previous experience with SAP  

  • Solid expertise / operational know-how of all finance processes (AR, AP, GL, inventory accounting, etc). 

  • Familiarity with Taiwan's financial and tax regulations. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions. 

  • Proactive mindset with a strong drive to meet and overcome challenges. 

  • Proficiency in written and verbal English and Mandarin. 

  • Occasional travel on a need basis.
