What We Offer

Overall: ensure tax compliance and provide tax advisory of foreign Covestro legal entities in collaboration with external tax advisors.

Tax Compliance
o Review and approval of annual / bi-annual / monthly tax returns prepared by service provider
o Preparation, review and filing of prepayment filings based on local tax requirements
o Prepare tax payment, posting Instruction & accounts reconciliation
o Plausibility check local of transfer pricing documentation which is prepared Covestro internal with a specific tool
o Be responsible for tax service provider requests, monitor deliverables including budget & gap analysis

Tax Accounting
o Responsible for tax accounting during quarter, year-end & statutory closing
o Prepare current tax accounts calculation and reconciliations
o Perform reconciliation of Tax Returns to IFRS accounts and Deferred tax accounts

Tax Advisory
o Provide expertise and guidance to respective internal counterparts on tax related matters, the interpretation and impact of tax law, regarding e.g. M&A and reorganization projects (recurring additional single/project tax consulting due to global/business projects)
o Follow-up on tax legal updates in the countries regarding new legislation and planned change of local legislation

Steer external advisors in the area of responsibility
The minimum salary on this position is 3400 EUR. The salary can be higher depending on the skills and experience of the candidate.
What You Offer

Must have minimum 6 years of experience in a similar function with focus on indirect & direct Tax expertise in an international environment

University degree in business administration or similar education coupled with outstanding Accounting (Local Statutory & IFRS ) & Tax background (Local & International Tax law)

Strong organizational skills, attention to details and ability to set priorities and meet deadlines

Team work and ability to perform tasks independently

Cultural sensitivity, ability to communicate and present in a clear & concise manner

Solution oriented, ability to cope with complexity

Experience with ERP Accounting Software/SAP FI/CO/SD and business warehouse is required

Fluent English skills (in writing and speaking)

French skills would be an asset but is not a must

Outstanding ability to react flexible to different requirements, capability to work accurately and resourcefully while under tight deadlines or during peaks

Capability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and flexible environment
