This is a newly created role due to business growth, offering an exciting opportunity to shape and lead the company’s tax function. This role offers true flexibility, budgeted at 0.6 FTE, and can be structured as three full days per week or shorter hours spread over four to five days.

Reporting to the General Manager Group Financial Control, the Tax Manager plays a key role in managing and overseeing the company’s tax compliance, reporting, and strategy. You will be responsible for tax governance, structuring, and advisory, ensuring the business meets all regulatory obligations while optimising tax efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate preparation of tax returns, including income tax, GST, and FBT.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements, including ASX obligations.
  • Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
  • Provide tax advisory services on strategic initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and business restructures.
  • Manage tax risk, including liaising with the ATO and overseeing tax audits or disputes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure best practices in tax manager
  • Act as a senior team member, contributing to a strong team culture and overall success

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • CA and/or CPA qualification, with significant post-qualified experience.
  • Experience in business services (ideally as a manager) in tax, looking to transition into an industry role.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and corporate tax frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide data-driven tax recommendations.
  • Confident stakeholder management and communication skills, engaging effectively at all levels.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
