A cost segregation Manager is responsible for providing client service in a wide range of fixed asset depreciation practice areas. The group’s core service offering is cost segregation, but we also belong to a team that provides fixed asset depreciation consulting, green energy tax incentives, and repairs and maintenance review. The group assists clients and colleagues in identifying ways to improve returns on capital investments and to minimize federal, state, and local taxes, whether the investments are new construction, renovations of existing facilities or building and asset acquisitions. 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare takeoffs, cost estimates, estimate models, reports and cost segregation deliverables. 

  • Develop proposals and perform necessary research. 

  • Manages the completion of multiple cost segregation projects concurrently. 

  • Manage scheduling and general oversite for one to two staff engineers. 

  • Manage engagement and deliverable tracking.  

  • Assist with project billing and engagement closing, including workpapers. 

 

Requirements:  

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or related field  

  • Minimum of five years of cost segregation experience with a reputable national service provider required, preferably with an accounting organization 

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook 

  • Familiar with construction takeoff software and cost estimating tools 

  • Cost segregation and/or tax fixed asset depreciation expertise required. 

  • Experience with blueprint reading and plan takeoffs. 

  • Knowledge of engineering and/or construction methods and terminology 

  • Familiarity with industry specific reference manuals, including R.S. Means and Marshall Valuation Services and the U.S. Master Depreciation Guide. 

  • Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral. 

  • Analytical skills with an aptitude for technical research and general curiosity. 

  • Able to operate and manage others well under self-direction. 

  • Available to travel periodically.

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. The compensation range for this position: $121,600-$171,900. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.
